A meme generator that doesn't tax the joke
Most meme sites get you twice: a watermark in the corner of your finished meme, and your template uploaded to their servers so they can mine “trending” content. This one does neither. The canvas, the text rendering and the export all happen in your browser — drop in a template, type, drag, download. The result is clean, full-resolution and yours.
The lettering uses Anton, an open-licence typeface with the same ultra-heavy block look as Impact, the font that defined the format. It's bundled with the page, so your meme renders identically on a phone, a Mac or a PC — no fallback-font surprises. Fill and outline colours are adjustable, but the default white-with-black-stroke is the classic for a reason: it stays readable on any image.
Beyond top and bottom text
- Drag anything. The top and bottom captions are draggable, and you can add as many extra text boxes as the joke needs — label the characters, caption the corners.
- Aspect presets. Pad your template to square for Instagram, 16:9 for X and YouTube, or 9:16 for stories without manual cropping.
- Wrapping handled. Long lines wrap automatically and stay centred, with the stroke scaled to the text size so thin outlines never disappear.
When it's ready, export as PNG for maximum quality or JPG/WebP for a smaller file. Need to trim the template first? Use the crop tool, then come back.

Is there a watermark?
No. The download is exactly what you see on the canvas — nothing added, full resolution.
Are templates uploaded anywhere?
No. The image stays in your browser's memory; the meme is composed and encoded on your device.
Can I use my own photos?
