About MyFreeImageTool

MyFreeImageTool is built and maintained by Rob Sawant, an engineer and project manager who kept running into the same bait-and-switch: a “free” image tool that uploads your photos to someone else's server, slaps a watermark on the export, caps you at thirty files, and hides the one feature you actually came for behind a signup form. After the third subscription prompt for a basic crop, building the alternative felt easier than complaining about it.

So this site does the work differently. All 33 tools — from compression and format conversion to AI background removal and OCR — run entirely in your browser using the Canvas API and WebAssembly. There is no upload queue because there is no upload.

The mission

Every app Rob builds follows the same three rules:

• Genuinely free. No accounts, no trials, no watermarks, no “upgrade to finish your download.” The sites are supported by unobtrusive ads, and that's it.
• Privacy by architecture, not by promise. Files are processed on your own device and never touch a server. It's not a policy that could change — there's simply no server for your files to be sent to.
• No artificial limits. Because your hardware does the work, there's nothing to meter. Three images or three hundred, 2 MB or 200 — it all costs the same: nothing.

The suite

MyFreeImageTool is one of five apps built on the same principle. MyFreePDFEdit covers 27 PDF tools, MyFreeAudioTool packs 30 audio tools plus a multitrack studio, MyFreeVideoTool handles video editing without uploads, and MyFreeInvoiceTool takes care of invoices, GST and billing documents. Same deal everywhere: free, private, on-device.
